Did you thought that Amy Winehouse would die so early? (She died today)?

Nobody expects that people will die so young. We turn a blind eye to the drinking, the drugs, It seems as though the new paradigm is self abuse in the name of having fun\ reality escape. The thing is, she had her chances to change, and for some reason she chose not to. I don't condemn her, I understand killing yourself with drugs and alcohol all to well. I guess it's true what they say, the brightest flames burn out the quickest. R.I.P. Amy

Given her previous drug/alcohol addiction problems it is no great surprise sadly. Hundreds of thousands of young people die every month from drug/alcohol abuse but we don't hear about them because they are not famous.

I never knew how young she was. She looked 40 not 27 .

I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner considering the amount of drugs she took and the shape she was in,
