Does it mean he likes me or is he just giving me the normal crap he thinks I expect?
Hello.
The situation is a bit odd at the moment. We both live in different countries and even if we keep in touch we can only see each other once or twice a month (3 to 5 days each time). I am willing to move out and find a place next to him soon. He knows that. Long story. We met by chance and sort liked each other immediately. So he is not a cyber friend I have never seen.
He never really talks about feelings and he is most of the time not overly demonstrative. (yes obviously a guy) He shows he's sad when I leave and obviously he shows he's happy to see me as well. But he is not the kind of guy who would send 5 text messages a day just to say "I miss you baby xoxo" and less to send me roses every day. He is more the kind of person who sends a link to a funny picture or even send me a book he thinks I would like and who always asks how I feel.
I am just very pleased because he's just sent me for no reason something quite nice "Hunni, you are a wonderful person and you are always amazing to me xxx". This just confuses me!
It is his way to tell me he loves me? Or is he just being nice because he thinks I might expect him to be?

This guy is a guy of few words so what he says is important. I think he is sincere but you had better take exactly the words he used and not build anything around them yet. Unless and until he ever says I love you, don't assume he does. I think he is reaching out to you and you just have to blush and smile at this point. You might egg him on by saying something like: Just how wonderful AM I? :)
But better to leave it so he feels safe to do more in the future. In due time you will know the depth of his feelings. Likely he hardly knows himself at the moment. It takes guys longer to figure it out than girls. Muster a little confidence and cool your heels. Wait. Relax. Enjoy.

I think he is being nice because he want's to an he likes you. If a guy loves you he will tell you that he loves you. Like and love are so different yet so easy to be mistaken.
