Shouldn't home field advantage in the WS be given to the league that wins more games in inter-league play?

I think you have a pretty good point. However I like the fact that MLB chose to have the All Star Game as the way to pick homefield advantage. It just creates meaning for the game, rather than having an All Star Game like football's Pro Bowl which is soooo boring. MLB has the best All-Star Game hands down, atleast people try and have meaning to try. NHL All-Star Games end in a score of like 12-11, boring. NBA ends in a score of like 130-120, no defense. The NFL should just get rid of the Pro Bowl, it is way too boring, the skills competitions are more fun. The only other fun All Star Game to watch is MLS where they play a team from England's Premier League. So I think the MLB All Star Game is fine where it is.

Nah, I always liked the alternating of home field regardless of record prior to the rule change. Myself, it should be based on which ever of the two teams has the better record like hockey and basketball. If they don't do that, then go back to alternating home field ever year because it was unique to the sport. Football has the neutral site for the Super Bowl, Baseball had the alternating of homefield which made the World Series unique.
