Retake A-Levels.. Help?
I want to retake my A-Levels in the next two years.. but don't fully understand how it all works.. as I am living in Germany at the moment. Can somebody give me some useful links or information of to how I have to proceed and how the retake works with the different syllabuls and units?!
Also is it possible to do this independantly and just go in to colleges for the actual exams?
And do you know places in Brighton that give advise for retaking A-Levels?

You don't say which syllabuses you want to re-sit. You can just contact exam centres (=any secondary school or college) and ask if they will let you sit exams there as a private candidate. Your best bet is probably your old school, but if they won't have you then you'll find a list of centres that do accept some private candidates (plus more advice) at the first link - AQA produce the list but they are just as likely to take you for exams from other exam boards. At the second link you can check which exams are available when, as some are only available in the summer and some are available twice a year. The exams that will cause problems if you are studying independently are coursework (as you will have to find someone to authenticate your coursework as yours) and science practicals as hardly any centres will let private candidates take those - Pascals College in Kent is probably your closest option.

Just pick a college that suits you and get in touch with them :)
You can contact admissions and get an interview, and then you will be able to go through all of your options with them and discuss why you want to re-take your a-levels and what plans you might have for the future.
If you want to start this september, make sure you do this fairly soon, otherwise courses that you are interested in could be full by july/august with early applicants.
