Good idea to first study nursing and then medicine?? Or better to retake A-Levels?

My A-levels won't be AAA.. will i have a better chance to be admitted to Med School after one of those options?

I would strongly advise you to retake your exams.

My sister did not get into medicine first time round because she didn't meet the required grades so she did a degree in biomedicine, yet when she got into second year she found quite a few people from her sixth-form college had gotten into medicine by retaking their A-levels. She got into medicine in the end, but only after a three year (and basically useless) course that put her into upwards of £10,000 of debt, now increasing all the time since you CANNOT get a student load for your second degree.

Therefore, especially with the increase in fees, I would strongly recommend you retake your A-levels, and get through university as fast as possible!

1] a nursing degree will NOT help you to get into med school

2] the sciences for each are different, and

3] you will have to still take any/all courses required for med school

4] suggest you re-take exams [ after sufficient prep, of course ]

    Re-take your exams.

Nursing is not a stepping stone to being a doctor. If you wish to be a doctor then go for that. You should only enter nursing if you actually want to nbe a nurse ,that way you will be a good one and not someone who really doesn't care about the patients and their needs.
