I would like to know when M-Benz introduced the folding or retractable hard top for the SL- Class Roadster. For years the M-B SL cars had a removable hard top and to me this creates a storage problem .=== Thanks for the info ...

    The R230 SL was introduced for the 2003 model year. The first Benz with a folding hard-top was the R170 SLK that came out for the 1998 model year.
