Mechanic!!! made mistake on my car and bent the valves?

Question

The Mechanic said pay me for the other work I did I had him put in a Crank and he mess up the valve timing and bent the valves.. he said it just the front head and it’s just the intake my question is he long do I wait He has my car out of the garage now and it looks like when he has time he does lit work on it now I ask him when he going to finish it he said I don't know he's rebuilding 3 other engine’s and has no time to fix his mess up is it time to take him to court? I have the bill sale that say he will fix the Valves how long does he have to fix it?

wow for a ,mechanic that know what he is doing first he wont tocuh that car , i dont mean to talk **** about him or anyone cause most shops talk **** about others , here  the truth , iam a mechanic my self and i get some customer like that and i do breakstuffs or make a mistake sometimes or sometimes i just tell the customer i dont know whats the problem with their car , even enginer that design the car sometimes they dont know .
a 2.7 chrysler engine are known that they break down or lock, iam assuming thats what happen to urs , so to me i would tell u u need an engine cause just to take it apart it would cost u at least 200 dollars and the car wont be the same espacially when a cranck break that mean it broke for a reason and when it break ur going to have bent valves , lifter , or springs or maybe a rocker arms or sometimes the head would get crack so honestly its not worht it espacially those car have interference engine , and also they have small oil passage that would make it easy to  block the oil passage if there is any blockage .and plus cheaper for u  both to jsut put new or used engine  and less  headach so no one would be attending funerals.

If it's a professional mechanic then you need to give him a deadline and if he can't meet that then tell him to provide you with a rental car or tell him you are taking it somewhere else and he will be responsible. 

Take it to another shop and document all repairs and money spent. Then file a lawsuit in small claims court. You may claim up to $5000. You do not need a lawyer. You will ho to mediation and try and come to a setelmemt. If you can't and go to court then you can get a lawyer. That is the easiest way. 

I would def get my car out of there. 

If you went you went to sone side job guy out of his garage then that is what happens when you try and save a dollar. This is why professionals charge so much more.

what kind of car you have? most cars you don,t have to fool with the valves to put a crank in. now the cam is a different story. the cam is up where the valves are at.

call 311 non emergency and explain the situation they will help you with some suggestions. or call a attorney and ask for advice. Then, based on the results lodge a case against the mechanic.
