I take the Thalys train to Paris Nord and then the TGV departing from Paris Montparnasse.
How long do I need for the transfer between both stations?

You can do it on the Metro in about 25 minutes. It's a straight shot on the Line 4 trains. Get on at Gare du Nord, going in the direction of Porte d'Orleans. Get off at Montparnasse-Bienvenue.
