How to find out how good i am at cycling?

Get an app or a cycling computer that measures your average speed. Try to ride for 10 miles at an average of 15 miles per hour. If you can hit that, you may be fit enough to compete in races and have some fun. You probably won't win anytime soon; you'll need to do some training to be able to actually compete at cycling.

Start out by joining a local cycling club and learn to ride in a group with other riders. Most bigger clubs have groups at different levels. The fastest groups will ride almost at the speed of a race. Once you graduate to the fastest levels you will be able to make the jump to racing. There will be members of the club who can advise you how to start racing

Ride with me and you'll find out. lol just joking... you should go to a cycling club (find out where your nearest one is using British Cycling's club finder on their website) and ride with them. It depends how much you train and how hard you ride. The first time I went to a club the pace was so high compared to my normal rides and everyone stayed so close together for slipstream, but I picked it up after a few rides. See how that goes and they'll let you race.

Go to your local bike shop. They will have information on local bicycle club. Make sure that the club has a racing team. You can usually join the club on group rides for nothing, the annual dues are very low. It will give you a chance to truly learn the ins and outs of racing. IT IS NOT the fastest single rider on a bike!
