Laptop computer doesn't connect to Internet?
I have been experiencing a problem with the Internet on my laptop for the past 3 days. It doesn't connect wirelessly anymore, and I tried connecting with an ethernet cable and that doesn't work either. It says I am connected to the wireless network I normally use, but the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message comes up when I try to go to my homepage and browse other sites. It worked fine just a few days ago, but suddenly stopped working overnight. My other computer still connects with no problems.
Can someone help me out by giving me a step-by-step guide explaining what I need to do? I have unticked the "proxy server" in the LAN settings tab, I have restarted my computer multiple times, and I have even done a system restore twice, all to no avail. What should I do?

cld you have a backdoor virus? that happened to me once and that virus was the culprit. luckily i didn't download any new software for a few weeks so I did a system restore back to as far as possible and killed it. maybe you need to restore further into the past?
