Are there any companies in England that hire cars to 18 year olds?

I want to know if there are any car hire companies that hire cars to 18 year olds in England but more so where I can hire a car to drive from Glasgow to England (again for an 18 year old). Do you know of any?


I'm from Australia and I have had 2 years driving experience, one of which was driving on my own. And we drive on the same side of the road so it shouldn't be too much trouble as long as there's a company.

Cost isn't an issue.

I don't think you would be able to hire a car as you are under 21yrs of age. No doubt you have driving experience but still most companies will say not to you.

I found a car hire search page where you put in your details and it should give you the cheapest company to go with.  The lowest age of driver was 21, so I doubt very much that you will be able to hire a car in the UK.

It's highly unlikely.  Some companies will hire to 21yr olds and the cost will be extortionate.  Most companies have a 25 age limit and expect the driver to have at least three years driving experience.

You could fly down to England from Glasgow with easyJet or BA.  I mean, I'm sure you know that, but it's a nice easy option -- it's a quick flight -- about 1 hour 20 mins from Glasgow to Gatwick.
