I helped my dog learn tricks on my own. He is a Cockapoo. But i first started off by taking him to a dog school near by, it was really wasn't working out there so i soon took him out. I taught my dog different types of tricks; how to sit, shake paw, roll over, say "bye-bye", stay, & how to come- all on my own.

The main way i did it was by bribing him with a treat. For example dog biscuits, bones, etc..

I also did hand motions to teach my dog tricks & also reworded him with his special treats but if only he corresponded with me. If he did not listen and did what I commanded him to do I would scold him by either not giving him his treats or by saying bad. It was kinda easy to train him I'm not sure if this may help. but i hope it does... :)
