Xbox 360 repair/replace question?

Question

Ok so my xbox 360 is constantly overheating about every ten minutes, and it's in a clear area. I get the two flashing red lights. I bought it from gamestop used about two months ago, and it came with a one year warranty. So what do I do from here? Do I take it into gamestop? Will they repair or replace it? Or do I send it directly to Microsoft?

Try gamestop then send it to Microsoft

Microsoft gives the Xbox 360 a three year warranty. That is if the previous hadn't void the warranty or had it long enough for the three years to be over. I suggest you call Microsoft or visit them at www. Microsoft.com. Red rings are a simple fix, there are a great deal of videos, blogs, and many other resources that might help you. If you can fix it, most commonly it will be  a part on the circuit board that melted off. You would have to solder it again. If you fix it one way to prevent constant overheating or Red Rings is to buy a fan and always lay it flat down would enough room for air to circulate.
