Problem with Windows XP wireless connection?

I'm trying to connect my laptop, (Compaq Presario V2000), to my wireless network, which is a linksys network. My Wii and PS3 connect to the network no problem, but the laptop wont even connect it. When I go into CONTROL PANEL and click NETWORK CONNECTIONS, the wireless icon doesn't even show up. Help, please!

    Have look if your wireless card disabled or not. If disabled then enable and try to connect. If you enabled and still not getting then have look if your crd getting ip automatically or not. try these and return to us if you still have question. Good luck

    Many laptops have a switch or a Fn key combination to turn on the wireless feature.

    Look in your manual to see how it's done on your machine.
