be aware the the versions that are there for download are rtm versions,

released to manufacturer

they are all Windows 7 RTM build version 6.1.7600.16385, this version was released before the general release in july 2009,

i got my copy from msdn, the download you have is (supposedly) hacked by the chinese

there is a very good chance your key will not work,
if, by any small chance, it does then you will get the 'not genuine' message

Edit: Okay, now you have to burn it to a DVD. Get ImgBurn and follow the instructions in the second link. You can also install Windows 7 from USB (3rd link).
