What are the normal BP limits both Diastolic and Systolic?

Diastolic 80 and Systolic 120 mm of Hg is normal BP

Diastolic >85 and Systolic >140 mm of Hg, observed persistently is a borderline case.

Diastolic >90 and Systolic >160 mm of Hg, observed persistently is essential hypertension case.

Diastolic >90 and Systolic >160 mm of Hg, observed temporarily is secondary hypertension case and the patient becomes normal after the cause is over.

Bp Limits

I don't know if this could make any of the difference for Suzee's case, but I have noticed that medical staff almost everywhere don't hesitate to take a blood pressure reading over the sleeve. But if I take my reading with even a thin layer of material, I get a reading like 145/90 or higher. Mine is consistently 10 points or more lower on both if the cuff contacts my skin, which is how I always measure at home. I now ask the nurses to let me get my sleeve out of the way if possible before they take a reading.

Systolic BP :-upper limit 139mmhg-----lower limit 90mmhg

Diastolic BP:-upper limit 89mmhg------lower limit 60mmhg

120 to 130 /70 to 80

It was 120/80 earlier. Because of todays lifestyle, doctors are considering 140/90 as new limits. But it is always better to maintain it as ner as possible to 120/80
