Perhaps you took a wrong turn on the way to Austria? Make sure your map is not upside down. I don't think I have ever met any Nepalese in Australia. I've met just about every other nationality though. Weird.
Personal note: Send T-shirts marked "no kangaroos here either" to Nepal.

There are plenty of Nepalese restaurants and a few social clubs around, even so, I have never known or aquainted anyone from Nepal(that I could remember or notice)
