i got a tomtom go 500 and it only has uk and ureland map so i got my friends tomtom sd chip and draged and dropped the europe map on my and i tested it and it didn't work. can you please help me , i really need europe map on my tomtom.

You sure that model of Tom Tom is not just for UK and Ireland only.
If it is, then it wont have the software to display Europe or other countries

Cannot be done legally. The license code on the map is hard coded to the device ID code. You might be able to get some help at:
