Violence has broken out on the streets of Cairo...?

My question: Is George W. Bush to blame for this sudden outburst of violence? After all, we hold him responsible for introducing his twisted neo-con version of so-called "freedom" and "self-determination" to the Iraqis; perhaps he has planted a very dangerous idea in the minds of the Arab street? Were it not for Bush's arrogance, would the protesters in Egypt and elsewhere know to keep their place and honor the authority of their leaders? After all, even Vice President Biden has said that Mubarak is not a dictator.

(Then again, it could also be Sarah Palin's fault, with her violent rhetoric and all. They get Twitter in the Middle East, don't they?)

This has to do with corrupt governments. People are getting tired of it.

I don't believe its the US's fault at all. Please remember that Mubarak has been president of Egypt since 1981, when Sadat was shot. Free elections aside, this is a long time for one man to hold the reigns in any country that considers itself even slightly democratic. So the people of Egypt are taking a page from whats going on in Tunisia. I just hope that the next leader of Egypt is as friendly towards the US as Mubarak has been.

Are you saying the Egyptians do NOT want freedom? What kind of people want to be told what they can do or not do all the time? Prisoners enjoy that kind of life. But why should normal citizens be under that kind of police pressure? America was founded by Christians, to enjoy freedom FROM GOVERNMENT. Governments have always been mankinds WORST enemy. Unless you are a dictator, normal people prefer FREEDOM. The freedom to pursue you own dreams and for your children. Of course, that applies to the women also. If you are muslim, you should be fighting to relieve the misery of your women who have the exact same rights under Jesus Christ's Christian teachings as men do. They have the right to vote and decide their own future as well.

America fought a civil war to FREE the slaves. 370,000 White men died to free them. Then also the women. This was 150 years ago.

The USA provides "aid" to Egypt (under Obama) of about 350 billion per year. Yes, your tax dollars have been funding that wonderful government that has even taken away their citizens communications capabilities by disabling cell phones and disabling the Internet.

Obama also has tried to pass a law that would give him this authority here in the USA, I truly do not know if it has in fact been passed.

While I do not think this is directly the fault of the USA, I see we have had a hand in it as the former (Democratic controlled) congress approved the spending of our money and sending it there to fund this monstrosity.

This government may topple. Blood is being shed due to the people just having "had it" with their lack of freedom and a tyrannical leader. Their call for him to step down has led to their very communication capabilities being taken from them.

It reminds me of old history like the storming of the bastille.

If you do not think it could happen here in the USA, you deceive yourself. One bit at a time your freedom is being chipped away at.

Pay attention to what the good honest people of the tea party have to say, my friends, before you too may see this country in a circumstance such as this in about a decade or two. Watch and learn. Please protect your rights and never ever let your guard down.

At the time of the Revolutionary War, people shed blood and gave up their lives on US soil for the very freedoms we hold dear. The people of Egypt are now fighting for something that they have had taken from them. Do you want this to happen here? Go ahead and nod your head and let laws be passed that take one thing away at a time from you.

First, you can't choose what kind of car you want. Next, they are going to outlaw it for you to walk and be on the cell phone at the same time, next you will lose your right to own a gun, then you will no longer be able to turn your own thermostat up or down, they will control everything you do, everything. You will not be allowed to reproduce, you can't pray in school, you can't use a religious term in that school. A simple cross is not allowed on a military base.... it is coming people. Watch, learn, protect what you have.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of American and to the republic for which is stands, one nation UNDER GOD, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

Keep saying it, hold that flag and your rights near and dear.

God Bless America and may it stand as an example of rights and freedom for all, never let those freedoms be taken from you dear friends.

Of course, George Bush and Sarah Palin are at fault for all of this, I'm sure of it......Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are too, of course. Fox news is also telling you lies about it. Believe Obama, go ahead....

You can't blame George Bush for everything. And the second answerer can not blame Obama for it, either. It's Hosni Mubarack's fault.

With all these new ways to communicate, people are

beginning to realize that where is my freedom. The young

want to be able to express themselves and the women

are coming out from behind the burka. "I have a dream."

    It's King Obama's fault.

  • vor 1 Jahrzehnt

    The blame belongs to Obama.

No one seems to think he needs to take responsibility.
