my 3g sim is working in other phones. i activated the 3g network in the phone and reinstalled the connection setups and i am in the 3g network area. 2g connection is working. is it necessary to change any settings in the phone. please advice

Your phone is 3G phone but supports UMTS 2100 frequency band. it may possible that your 3G service provider may not be providing 3G service in a band, your phone is supporting. Check out with service provider.

All cellular telephones are like that. you could't hook up with wireless and 3G on the comparable time. this way you isn't somewhat value for using wireless considering your telephone at once turns off the 3G once you first change on wireless.
