simple say you work for said company ABC and you have a computer in your house all they do is route all your work to you pc So instead of you going to work you work at home or where ever you have access to a computer but they do monitor your work closely

Take for instance Jet blue airline some of their reservation people work from their home the call is routed and they run the reservation thur their computer like it a terminal ..Since the internet this is happening a lot making thing less costly
