For some reason file sharing is difficult in XP, I'd say that both Server 03 and XP follow the same procedure.

First you need to place the file you want to share in Shared Documents folder. (I'm not sure way but this is the simple way to do it).

Create a new folder or put your folder here, now click 1 time on the folder, on the left hand side in the side bar you should be able to see "Share this Folder" click on that.

Now the Sharing Options window will appear.

For another person to read or edit the folder or document, you need to create a network path, so log on as the other user/domain, go to my computer.

Then click on Tools in the menu bar, and click on Map Network Drive.

A window will now appear asking you what drive to call it, and to know where it is located.

Select the appropriate Drive Letter, and find the folder or file, then click finish.

The folder should now appear, but keep in mind there are no permissions.

If you want to set permissions, go here:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324267 or look up Windows Server 03 File Sharing Permissions

Hope it works, and good luck.

(Also this is mainly for over a network file sharing, but the same rules generally apply for user sharing))
