Pros/Cons of house guests?

The pros are that you have friends/family that care about you enough to visit you. You get to see them and spend time with them. It's a great way to keep in touch with those who don't live nearby. Some cons would be that you lose a bit of privacy. You may feel that you have to entertain them 24/7. And there is the question of whether or not they have the same likes in food as you do, not to mention the additional cost of having house guests. Hope this helps.

Cons: Since a short term house guest is likely a relative or friend who is on vacation you have to entertain and possibly feed them every day. This can be a lot of work. Unless you have a large house with lots of extra space you have to share a bathroom and sleeping arrangements might be awkward.

Pros: Although it is work having activities to entertain a house guest can be a lot of fun because you are doing things that you might not normally do like go to a museum, go out to eat, go to the movies, etc. It is also (hopefully) someone you enjoy spending time with and don't see often.

Long term house guest:

Cons: They take up space in your house. They might be messy and expect you to pick up after them or just never clean up because they are less neat than you and it doesn't bother them. They might raid your fridge and not attempt to replace your food items. They will likely disrupt your day to day routine in some way like you might fight over tv time or something.

Pros: They might help you out by paying you "rent". or they might contribute in some other way like providing groceries and cooking for you or doing household chores like dishes, laundry, or cleaning. You might enjoy their company.

Pros:

- feeding more than you can

- possiblity of losing a friendship due to mis treating home and stuff and respect for owners.
