How to dye just the bottom layer of my hair?

Hey :) So i have light brown hair and i am looking to dye just the bottom layer a darker brown. How would you go about doing this?

Part your hair across where you want to dye it, and tie the top layer up tight on top of your head. Make sure you have an old towel across your shoulders. And it might help if you have someone put the colour in for you. Apply according to the directions.

pin all of the hair that you dont want to dye up securely and then buy some hair dye and dye it. try washing only the dyed hair if you can and then dry that part and see how it looks.
