What is in Dreamies Cat Treats?
What on earth is it in Dreamies Cat Treats that cats find so addictive? Mine are going crazy for them after my friend bought a packet for them and when they have finished a pack I get such a look of dispair from them. It doesn't seem to matter which variety it is and the ingredients list doesn't seem to contain anything obvious so does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks K - that's what I had found too but the question is what is it out of that little lot that has them so hooked? Bet its one of the additives that aren't actually named!

Dreamies cat treats should be, like an unfortunately high amount of foods being marketed for cats, not be fed to cats. They are full of grains which your obligate carnivore cat has absolutely no use for and cannot digest properly.
The food is probably sprayed with stinky slaughter waste or fish to make it attractive to cats. This is the usual technique employed by producers of cheap, cat-killing food to make you believe that the food is healthy because your cat loves it. This is also how the likes of purina are able to market their toxic food to cat owners: you open the bag, the cat comes running, and so you think you're feeding your cat good food.
Offer your cats high quality, grain free food like wellness brand grain free or before grain brand food for meals. Appropriate treats/gifts for cats are catnip, chunks of raw chicken or turkey, or raw eggs (our cats love quail eggs). Pretty much anything in the grocery store marketed as "cat treat" is actually just meat-flavored cereal and is slowly killing your cats.

Don't know whats in these darn things, but my cat got sick because of them.
A few weeks ago I bought the treats with cheese, after a day or two the cat started vomiting, so we took her to the vet, he gave us some medicine for the matter, some "more fancy" cat food to help with hairballs, etc., and we stopped giving her these "treats".
Yesterday I went shopping and saw these on the shelf, as the cat liked them so much I bought another pack, got home, gave her a few and guess what... vomiting all again.
Wouldn't advice them to any owners of cats with sensitive stomachs.
Just wanted to share my experience.
Good luck to you all out there.

I have two cats, there was no problem with the salmon treats. Yesterday I tried duck flavor and the floor was covered with vomit in the morning. Tried again today, yep , dreamies is causing the problem.

My cat is crazy for them too and has even lost a bit of weight because of them. she also follows me around too. I don't think they're bad for cats, i asked the vet, but it would be wise to cut down. Just give them to her when she's good (we have a hard time getting our cat in when we let her out, so we give her some when she comes in by herself).

The thing is, my cat, which is old and WAS getting skinny , has plumped up quite a bit since I tarted feeding her these so I'm loath to stop.

Yup the advert wasn't lying! Lol my cat is exactly the same. If you read the back of the packet it tells you the recommended daily allowance- either that or look up the website and it will tell you.
