Help with Villain's motives for helping the good?

I'm writing this story where the heroes need the aid of an evil banshee/witch in their quest. Does anyone have any idea what I could use for the Banshees motives to help the heroes of the novel. The only one I can think of is redemption for past crimes but that seems a bit cliche

    Redemption.

Loves a character on the good side.

Related (unknowingly by the good side) to a character on the good side.

Maybe the good side saved the banshee/witch's life?

The good side could have something that the banshee/witch wants. (Ex: a powerful spell, something precious of the banshee/witch)

Have you ever wondered how a suspense writer brings his or her characters to life in such a way that the characters cannot help but send chills down the reader’s spine? Did you ever wonder what the author’s mind must be like to think up such a twisted, sadistic character? Would you believe me if I told you that it was the character’s humanity that really sends those chills down your spine? Yes, believe it or not, it is the human side of such characters that make the hairs of your neck stand on end.

To get something that heroes have, to get back at another villain by helping the heroes, to make the heroes fail and then laugh at them behind their sad backs?

Maybe they get thier aid and then she turns on them.
