what computer monitor do you need for gaming?
im looking for a new computer screen for my boyfriend for christmas. he plays world of warcraft,starcraft etc. what monitor would be best for this kind of stuff? something that makes the graphics look awesome. what do i need to look for?

Well i suggest a dell monitor and get a smaller one with better features insteed of a bigger one thats a big mistake people make thinking the bigger better right? wrong alot of cheap larger monitors arent built great and can break so just rember smaller with better features insteed of larger ALSO graphics dont have to do with monitor that much altho a good monitor will help ALOT but its much more to do with the computers graphic card that will make the real diffrence but i dont suggest buying that wihtout his help cause it can be tricky business buying graphic cards but screen shouldnt be to hard just go to dell site and study and youll do fine anyways good luck :D

In Game Development we use Dell Monitors. they are not the flashiest looking monitors but they have good contrast and resolution. I personally have a samsung monitor with 2ms grey to grey which is a nice feature for gaming.

I'd recommend a Samsung LED LCD monitor, preferably 120Hz or higher. They look awesome.
