Kapersky anti virus..threat detected?

When Kaspersky detects something it deals with it right then. It doesn't play around. You can restart your machine. Kaspersky has already taken care of it. If it would make you feel better do a scan. I bet you come up clean. If you put Kaspersky on a clean copy of windows, It will stay clean. Kaspersky will not allow the download of anything malicious after it has "taken a picture" so to speak of your running system. The only way anything malicious will download with Kaspersky on guard is if you allow it.

By the way, Kaspersky isn't like the free AV's most are use to on here. It doesn't allow the download of anything without your consent.

You can select an action to be performed upon the threat detection. Select action automatically is the default option. In order to change the action upon the threat detection, perform the following actions: 1. open the main window

2. in the left part of the main application window, select Scan

3. in the right upper corner of the main application window, click the Settings link

4. in the left part of the Settings window, select Full Scan

5. in the right part of the Settings window in the Action on threat detection section, specify the required actions

6. in the Settings window, click the OK button

7. close the main application window.

No anti-spyware or anti-virus performs with 100% efficiency, it's usually best to have a couple of anti-spyware programs on there. I have McAfee for my main security then Adavanced Windows Care and Ad-aware for back-up for spyware / malware

a threat is a virus, watch out for what pages you visit, as they could install adware on your computer without you knowing
