my boxer mix has sore on his nose thats watering.help please!?
i posed a question earlier about my 11 month old boxer mix harley. he has a sore on his nose (right above the black part) that is rubbed raw. its not bleeding but now its watering.is that a bad sign? its about the size of a dime. ive been putting neosporon on his nose. im hoping to get an appointment with my vet tomorrow but hoping for some relief for him. it doesnt seem to bother him.
i havent switched food or got new toys for him.

Make a mixture of epson salt and water then soak it on the sore for about 5 minutes with a cloth. The dog willl not like it but it will help clear and bacteria. The watery substance you see could be puss from an underlying infection. Also make sure he gets enough fresh water throughout the night and that he stays warm. Dogs are susceptible to disease with open wounds and little things like that help. For your water solution use lukewarm water and about two tablespoons per gallon. Repeat soaking about 3 times.
