Question about blood test for pregnancy?
Okay so I'm a little over 40 days late. Last week I took a blood test to check for pregnancy. Well it came up negative. And I still have not started. I have never missed a period in my whole entire life and I'm not irregular.(Always in the time frame period is supposed to start in). Last year I had a miscarriage, (blighted ovum) and well its taken a long time of trying. Has anybody ever had the blood test be wrong? Pregnant when you aren't or not pregnant when you really are. I'm just curious if anyone out there has ever had it make a mistake? Please... I'm very freaked out.

I don't think a blood test could be wrong. Urine, sure. But I would think ghat they would be able to detect even the slightest amount of hCG in a blood test.

There are many reasons you could miss your period such as
. Extreme exercise and diet
. Stress-new job, moving, new partner
. Hormones change
. Medications, birth control, other meds
. Thyroid changes
. weight loss or gain
. being to thin or having low body fat
ect ect .
Labs are a good indicator of pregnancy if they did the right test they show HCG levels-if they said no than chances are your not pregnancy -so rest assure.

The only way the blood test would be wrong is because of human/technical error. Those tests are highly accurate. If you think the test was wrong go back to the doctor but there can be several things that mess up your cycle.
