I want to get the iPad but I think that iWork is not included. Correct? If it's not... is it free at least?

No, the iPad does not come with iWorks, and it is not free. They are three separate apps you can purchase (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote), with each cost $9.99.

It is not free, I belive it is a 10 dollar program.
