I need advice on how to get my husband to go see his doctor?
I am sleep deprived becuz IF I don't fall asleep B/4 he does, my sleep is screwed for the entire nite, just like tonite. I can survive on about 6 hrs. of sleep per nite, but zero per nite sleep is impossible.
We have a futon in the family room, but if I move at all during the nite, the wood slats below make a noise & I'm awakened & can't fall asleep again. IF I am so lucky as to somehow fall asleep B/4 my husband, & get 6 hrs. of sleep, then I'm good to go for the entire day. Getting 5 hrs. or less per nite just isn't cutting it for me. I have a "reverse curve" in my neck from two really bad car accidents were people have rear-ended my vehicle, so I have a reverse curve in my neck & if I don't get 5-6 hrs. sleep per nite, my neck becomes quite painful & I have to get my chiropractor to adjust my neck so it's back in alignment agn. What to do about my hubby who refuses to admit he snores loudly. He says that I snore, too, but how can I even snore, if most nites I'm wide awake? Help, pls. Any constructive advice would be most appreciated. My husb. is a bit of a "neanderthal" type of guy, too, sadly to say.

I snore really badly as well, and I can keep my wife up too. Of course you can't hear yourself snore, but you might consider (since you will be awake anyway) recording him. Put the recorder close to him so it's extra loud then play it for him the next day.
I would also advise doing it delicately so you don't offend his sensibilities. If you can sell him with a helpful attitude he is more likely to go for it then if he feels you are coming after him. Offer to make the appointments and go to them with him so he isn't going it alone. Then be really supportive. If that doesn't work then you can try something tougher but kindness might get you closer to your goal faster.
Men don't like being told what to do generally but they will usually follow you if you are persuasive enough.

There are products that help with snoring, such as decongestants and nasal strips which you can buy from your local pharmacy. If you still want him to go to the doctor, the best thing is to get him in the car, tell him you're going somewhere for a surprise and take him to the doctor's. It works all the time for children, too. It's not lying so much as creative word selection.
Hope this helps

In your situation I think you two need to share a bed for sex and sleep separately. Rarely do i think that is a good idea but a medical condition makes this a reality. He does not need to go to the doctor unless he sees the need but I suspect this is more a matter of you inability to adjust to married life and sharing a bed with our conditions than his medical condition

Just get some ear plugs or sleep in another room. Easy.

Arrange with his doctor to send him an urgent invitation to talk over things in private. He will go immediately.....not to worry.
