How many calories approx do you loose while walking on the beach?

Hey :)

So i am trying to get fit and live on the oregon coast. I have taken up walkin on the beach for about 1-1.5 hours on the semi-wet sand.

Approx how many calories do you burn while walking on the beach vs walking on pavement. I walk with a moderate pace, about 2ish miles an hour. Thanks :)

    You are probably burning around 300 calories. I am a retired Fitness instructor for the Military. I could give you a better assesment if i know how far you walked. You compute time, distance and pace to give you the answer. Here is a link that will better help you calculate your calories burned from resting to exercising. Good luck to you...

    I think it's great you want to do something about your weight :) I wish you the best. 1. You need to get some sort of daily exercise, nothing too serious or intense, just to get your heart rate up. Eat healthier, eat vegetables and fruit. The acid in fruit is great to burn fat, and vegetables are full of fiber that'll do wonders. Reduce your daily calorie intake by 500 calories, that should help allot. Drink lots of water, it makes you feel full so you won't over-stuff yourself. I almost never used to drink water, now it's all I drink besides orange juice in the morning, and I exercise more. I've already lost 6 pounds in the past few weeks. You're heavier than I am, too, so when you exercise you'll burn even more calories. If there's a fattening food that you eat allot (i.e. pizza) completely cut it out of your diet. Read the serving size on food, LISTEN TO THE SERVING SIZE. You'd be surprised that you probably eat more than the recommended serving, and the recommended serving will fill you up just as well. 2. When you see everything at the office and restaurant, chew some gum. You might just be bored and the gum will work your jaw so you won't want the food as much. As for something to say to yourself, make it something like "I want to be able to go to the pool again." or "I want to impress my boyfriend." Truth is, that slice of pizza has a bunch of calories and fat, chew some gum or munch on veggies. 3. I bought an exercise ball to tone my core, I've only been using it for two days and I'm already so much more toned. I would recommend that you do the same. Make sure you buy the right size, I'm assuming that you're over 5'3" and under 5'11", so you would buy the 65 cm exercise (or stability) ball. Allot of the exercise balls come with workout pamphlets or DVDs. A workout ball can be used for your entire body depending on the exercise you do. You don't have to do it for very long. Crunches are what I've done, do about 20 or 30 in about 2 or 3 minutes and that's good :) I hope this helps :) Good luck and much love <3 EDIT: Sleeping more helps too :) You burn fat while you sleep and it can push away fattening food cravings.
