What is the Average/Standard font and font size ,?

for a book,say a Romance, or Fiction story, I know the pages have to be dividable by four and generally 6x9. Does the book have to be double spaced?

    MSS is double spaced...

    average font is Arial or TNR... and size 10 for body text 12 for subs and 14 for main headers

    Size 12 Times New Roman or Courier New fonts, double spaced.

    Also:

    1-inch margins

    numbered pages

    standard black colour

    printed on one side of page

    Every publisher has a different format and font for their books. There is no standard.
