How would you react if a gay man were elected to the Presidency?

If I liked the candidate and his principles, of course I would support him. What's to react about? What has anyone's sexual orientation got to do with his ability to be president? Or hers?

Support but also realizing how diligently the so-called "Christians" will treat our candidate. There will be false information and a campaign of hatred. Terrible but measured words will be used as daggers in an attempt to slowly chop our candidate into little pieces.It will be a fight with words, the Republican side will overwhelming have difficulty understanding the letter and siprit of the Democratic candidtates. So, when in doubt, make up something to fear and then preach it night and day until the monkeys who simply sout what they hear repeatedly said to them without knowing the meaning of the words.

Sexual orientation and gender is not an issue. Besides it already happened. The 15th president, James Buchanan was gay. His partner was William Rufus King. Abe Lincoln may have been gay too.

I don't have anything against gay people, but I don't just go and support anybody as president.

My opinion of the way someone runs the country has nothing to do with their ethnicity, religion, or personal life.

I couldn't care less if he was gay or not. If he's a good President then of course I'll support him, if he's bad I'll look like I hate gays (which I don't) for not liking him. So either way I have to like him.

I'd react no differently just because of his sexual orientation. I mean, if he was elected as president then what else is there to say. The people voted for him fair and square.

Sexual orientation is no issue with me......Better than some of the sleazy presidents who had affairs on the side

I only care about the positive things they can do for the country

okokok, first of all, I would only support a person who also supported the same political beliefs as I have.

second of, if the gay guy had the same political beliefs as me, or similar to, yes I would support him.

if we were only electing based on sexuality, i could honestly care less. sexuality has no holds on me. love who you want to love.

Whats wrong with being gay? Im not gay but. How in anyway is being gay a problem. its not like something bad happens everytime someone is gay.
