Why do Muslims consider the number 19 magical?

"There are nineteen in charge of it." (Qur'an, 74:30)

The Qur'an consists of 114 (19 x 6) Suras.

The first Sura to be revealed (Sura 96) is the 19th from the end.

The first verses of the Qur'an to be revealed are the first five verses of Sura 96 and the total number of words in these verses is 19.

Just a small correction: this has nothing to do with Islam per se, it is related to a new cult built upon Quran (which is the Holy book of Islam), this new cult is called Quranism, and it's followers call themselves Quranists.

response to "Dispater Five": not entirely accurate, it is based on Quran, but rejects other creeds that is elementary in Islam, and implemented new creeds that is not authentic in Islam. You can think of it as plagiarism :)

Biso, small correction, a 'cult' based on the Quran would be a sect of Islam which would make the followers/practitioners... Muslims.

This guy claimed there were various number codes in the quran, but he twisted the rules wherever necessary to demonstrate his proofs the quran was divine.
