mexican chips?? what are these called?

When in mexico we purchased some chips at the market that we would deep fry?
they were hard like a pasta/macaroni shell, and we deep fried them at home and they expanded alot, they tasted pretty bland, but worked great for dipping into salsa.. I dont know the name of them, as they came in a plain zip-lock bag, now I wanted more and dont know how to get them without going back to Mexico to the market.. At the Cantina in Mx, they would bring you some in a bowl with dip, to help you drink more beer, like lounges do in the USA with popcorn.. can you help?

They are NOT chicharrones...chicharrones are already fried and made from pork rind.

What you are talking about are called "duros". The direct translation means "little hard ones"....they are actually just a mexican pasta that come in many shapes but a popular one is a circle with triangles in the center.

Im not sure what they are called but you can fine them in hispanic supermarrkets in the bulk bins and Ive also seen them at Food For Less in California.  They tast good with some squeezed lemon juice and Tapitio hot sauce.
