when in mexico we purchased some chips at the market that we would deep fry?

they were hard like a pasta/macaroni shell, and we deep fried them at home and they expanded alot, they tasted pretty bland, but worked great for dipping into salsa.. I dont know the name of them, as they came in a plain zip-lock bag, now  I wanted more and dont know how to get them without going back to Mexico to the market.. At the Cantina in Mx, they would bring you some in a bowl with dip, to help you drink more beer, like lounges do in the USA with popcorn.. can you help?

mmmmm love these! Chicharron de harina. It is like a pasta usually orange in color and you can get them in allot of different shapes. you should find some VALENTINA sauce (salsa) and eat them with that. They are usually sold in any latin store or market. Just try and find a store that does carry Mexican foods
