morals vs constitution?

Does anyone else find it wrong that you can protest at a military funeral thanks to the constitution (freedom of speech) no matter how immoral it is while you can not get married if your gay because its morally wrong no matter if its protected by the constitution ?

Oh ! And if the states can vote it illegal for gay marriage and if the federal judges support the ban on gay marriage then what would happen if states voted it illegal to protest at funerals ? Would the federal judges support what the voters voted in and say screw the constitution and freedom of speech ?

It is not morally wrong to be gay. it is morally wrong to have sex for lust and for some reason heterosexuals seem to think that gay people have lust and not love. which is false. If I had relationships based on lust then I would not still be a virgin, which I am.

I think it is wrong to protest at anyone's funeral. it is disrespectful and should not be allowed.

They were sued for protesting Funerals. In the autumn of 2007, the father of a Marine whose funeral was picketed by the WBC was awarded $5 million in damages.[12][13] In June 2007 Shirley Phelps-Roper was arrested in Nebraska and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The arrest resulted from her allowing her eight-year-old son to step on the American flag during the demonstration, which is illegal under Nebraska law.

No. I find nothing wrong with the system at all. It seems to be working just fine. It is unfortunate that the families had to endure such treatment, but this is a free society. Let them protest, let the families react, and then let the courts decide. I have no problem with any of it. free speech is not immoral. Furthermore, the government has no business what so ever, legislating morality.

Yes, if the states voted it illegal to protest at funerals, the FED might very well support the legislation. Then someone would challenge it an unconstitutional and we would go back and hash out the issue. Then we would probably have a vote on it . That is just the way things work.
