Heathens...a question?
I've read a few books regarding Norse mythology and am aware The Eddas are available to read online. However, I hate reading online and would like to know which translation you most prefer. I have been considering purchasing Hollander's translation but the reviews are so mixed.
Thank you Bones for correcting the person who was misinformed to the usage of "heathen." I was aware of its use in this context which is why I used it.

The Prose Edda and Poetic Edda are both available in book format of course. I read the Prose Eddain Penguin Classics and really liked it. It is also good by Everyman publishing. The Poetic Edda is not published by Penguin, but a good traslation is by Oxford World Classics. The two books go hand in hand. Great to read for understanding the basic of norse mythology.

If you are looking into things like this, I would like to give you a help full hint. Heathen is a term coined by the church, when they were destroying the culture and beliefs of native cultures around the globe. We are not Heathens, we are Wiccan, Pagans, Witches, Seers and highly intelligent people. As for the question, try looking for books at Borders or any other online book store.

I prefer Hollander's translation, but that is just my opinion.
@ wiafgirl: I think it is you who needs to do more research. You may be a Wiccan or a Pagan, but it is very rare to find an Asatruar who identifies as a Pagan, let alone wants to be called Wiccan [Wicca is a religion unto itself, is is very much a separate faith from Asatru and other forms of Heathenry]. Heathen is not an insult in this context, it refers to those who practice the Pre-Christian religions of Northern Europe. http://www.wyrdwords.vispa.com/heathenry/callushea...
