Fuel Filter "micron" information?

My owners manual has little information on the actual fuel filter that was installed on the boat in 2005. I've noted that the E-10 fuel has been causing problems on EFI engines like mine. I've been trying to find out if the filter I'm using has a "10 micron" element or a "21" micron element, and which one I should be using. My engines are 5.7L EFI mod 5 "GM" computer controlled Marine Power engines.

Also has anyone any information on using the engine computer information directly to an on-board Garmin C series MFD multifunction Display. or to any other diagnostic tool for that matter. Or, is there a computer program that I can download to my laptop computer that I can plug in to the engine diagnostic port that will give me all the information on my engine? I understand this is the same engine (more or less) that was used in the Corvette for several years.

Thanks!

Ask the engine manufacturer, or maybe you can find on their website, what filter to use. THey may also have info on E-10 effects and how to deal with them. However, 'gasohol' has been in use a long time for cars, and gasoline sold in areas with pollution problems [pretty much every big city] legally has to have a certain amount of 'oxygenate', nowadays ethanol [since MTBE got banned], in it.

For your other question, try Garmin's website, or ask them.

I have seen offered for sale to auto mechanics widgets to plug into a car's diagnostic port with software for a laptop; however, your engine might have different computers/software. I would ask the engine manufacturer.
