On a cup-for-cup basis, loose leaf teas are so much less expensive than almost any bagged tea. Think about it: when you buy loose leaf, you are almost always buying more actual leaf than when buying even the largest package of tea bags. In addition, loose leaf teas can just about always be steeped more than once, with some varieties being able to be steeped to upwards of 15 times! You never have this kind of longevity with any kind of bagged tea. What's more is that you're also getting much higher-quality tea when you use loose leaf than with any type of tea bags. So even though the price of loose leaf tea may look higher than most tea bags, you have to remember that you are getting much more for your money with the loose leaf tea.

Tea made with a tea bag is just as good as that made with loose leaves and is less hassle to make. It is the quality of the tea leaves that go in that matter.
