I don't understand why so many people get so mad at me? What am I doing wrong?

Question

My older brother & his friends told me that if I go up to women who are strangers, and stick my tongue out and pretend that I was shaking salt on it out of a salt shaker you would find at any dinner table, that I would actually be able to taste salt. They said it is some strange phenomenon that the medical profession is perplexed by but that it works and you truly can taste salt on your tongue. 

So, I tried it at school to a substitute teacher who made me write a 5 page essay that had to be done by the end of the period. I tried it at the supermarket to a lady in the cheese isle & she said "disgusting." I tried it at church and it looked as if the woman was about to cry. Then I tried it one last time at a red light to the woman who was next to our car. She told me to "f**k off" and spit at the car!!

I don't want to ask my brother because he'll probably say I did it wrong and make fun of me. Has anyone heard of this and does anyone here know what I need to do for this to work???

Let's see. Where to start. First let's suppose you really are someones little sibling and really did this. The up and down hand and arm motion of shaking salt resembles that of jacking off. Now, go do it in the mirror and see what you are insinuating to people. Remember to stick your tongue out.
If this is true they played a first class joke on you. If not, damn fine story.

Here's another interesting medical phenomenon: pretend you're brushing your tongue with a toothbrush, and you'll feel healthier. No more of that icky white coating. It works especially well in front of other people. It is indeed a strange medical phenomenon!

Your brothers winding you up, I've never heard of it. He was probably trying to see how gullible you are- and judging by the response you got it probably means something very different, i wouldn't recommend trying it again. O_o
