What characteristics are most desirable in a good wife?

Sex. Respect. The ability to not nag. A pleasing appearance. Sex. Appreciation. Self esteem. Cooking ability. Sex.

Men want:

1. Sex (lots, with variety and enthusiasm)

2. Verbal affirmation, encouragement, acknowledgment

3. Respect (faithfulness, not nagging or yelling, open discussion all come under this)

4. They want the wife to care about her appearance

5. Be a good mother to his children

6. Be a good cook

7. Be a decent housekeeper

8. Have shared interests with him

9. Be loving, but not clingy

10. The wife to say enough that avoids his having to "read" her mind, but not talk too much.

11. They want finances/resources managed well

Funny how women see guys. Women tend to think guys think like them by putting too much emotion into it but it really is very very simple in what guys want because guys for the most part are very simple minded. I know because I am one.

1.) A woman who can cook

2.) A woman who can make a house look like a home

3.) Good loving

4.) Good looking

4.) Good sense of humor.

5.) Good at stroking the ol Male Ego such as bragging to her friends how good he is at fixing or doing something.

6.) One that lets the man control the remote.

I am female. Here are the qualities I think a man wants in a good wife:

Attractive, fun to be with, helps "shoulder the load" of making a life together (whether it is working outside the home or making a nice home for them if she does not work outside the home), someone who's willing to "have his back" and give him haven from the stresses of life, someone who's intelligent and can hold conversation on a variety of topics, someone who is adventurous in the bedroom, someone who is a good mother (if they choose to have children)

Honestly, you can be gorgeous, thin, you can cook, clean, be their best friend, their biggest supporter and do everything right, but according to my friends, what most men want in a marriage is a lot of sex. (and we've all been married 20+ years, so we know) If they don't get it, no matter what else you're doing right, they won't be happy.

2.Has some similar interests

3.Is independant

4.Likes sex

5.Isn't petty

6.Will stand up for them

7.Who is their best friend

8.Blends well with their friends and family
