Which response best describes you?

(a) Very religious. I believe that the Bible is the absolute word of God. I go to church regularly and only miss because of illness.

(b) I believe in God and occasionally go to church. But I don't believe that the Bible is not always correct and you need to question it to get the best out of it.

(c) I believe that there is a God, but no one really knows much about him.

(d) I don't believe in gods at all and think that religion does more harm than good.

(e) My belief is different from any of the above. EXPLAIN

I don't care what others believe, but I don't want to be forced to pretend I believe it too. In theocracies, citizens are forced to follow the state religion. I live in the US. Christians can't stand the fact that America is not a Christian theocracy, so they try to be slick and legislate Christian "values" a little bit at a time. I am fighting to keep America a free country.

I choose answer E for two reasons:

First, we all perceive our reality based on our environment. A 15 year old black girl living in the deep south around 1860 sees an upcoming slave auction differently that a 45 year old land owner who needs her youth and strength to get a cotton crop sold to the highest bider.

Slaves and owners alike were convinced God's purpose in creating races was so that one race would dominate the other.

Secondly, God gave everything the young church needed in order to thrive. Still, there were differences anong the people about how the chuch should be administered instead of jus letting God do it. The only book we need is the Holy Bible and a place to build an altar. If we trust God, everyhing else will be provided.

None of the above - being "religious" or "going to Church" will do nothing at all to gain one entry into the Kingdom of God; acceptance of Jesus Christ as one's Savior, and attendance in a Church that teaches Scripture correctly will benefit the Believer, as well as God

Hi, this is really interesting question because it shows different kinds of religous degrees but it only speaks of Christianity and forgets all about the overwhelming and last religion which combines all man's relationship with God and other people ,animals and the whole universe . It is ISLAM. It is the religion of all prophets from Allah , Qura'an the Holy Boook of Islam tells the true stories of all Prophets and shows man that the belief is in One Allah and all messengers the Last is Muhammed PBUH. READ MORE ABOUT TRUE RELIGION and make it your only and successful choice in this life and the hereafter. Allah be withus all.

    (e) IMHO man-made religion is a means of controlling the populace. Religion stands between man and God and interferes with mankind forming a true relationship with God by spreading lies about God and telling mankind that God is this or that, when in fact, most religions have NO CLUE what is going on with God and have no right to tell ANYONE what is on God's mind or how God thinks. That is between the individual and God ... religion has no right to interfere.

the three biggest evils on this Planet are Religion, Banks, and Government.

PS thanks for respecting my opinion yesterday. That was nice of you and I appreciate it. many years ago I challenged God to show Himself to me and he complied so my experience is a bit different from others but I too respect people's rights to believe in a religion if they choose, or not! I truly believe that God, or Love, exists within us all but we each perceive Him differently, as is everyone's right.

There's no reliable evidence for Jesus, Yahweh, Allah, Zeus, Thor, or any of the thousands of other gods that people have worshiped. There's also extensive evidence that they are all just myths. Science has shown that there's no need for gods to explain the traditional reasons for a god -- origin of the universe, origin of life, origin of species, origin of humans, origin of morality. If a god like Yahweh existed there would be explicit evidence. No such evidence exists, therefore this god does not exist.

    E. I'm very religious and very spiritual, and I take time out of my day at least several times to pray or to simply appreciate the gifts I'm given.

However, my Gods do not require church attendence, nor do they demand fawning submission.

God wasn't made to help people, in my opinion. God is like a religious Role Model. People look up to him, praising him. I do that sometimes, and definitley believe in god, or godS even, but just saying, God was never created or thought up, either way, to make people respect him.

I am a Wiccan and believe that nature and the universe are the same as god and goddess. I don't worship them, but honor them.
