Game Reserve Kenya - Any tips?

You can go to the Nairobi National Park, which is about half an hour from the centre of the city. However, because it's so close to the noise and traffic, there really aren't that many animals. My suggestion is take a weekend trip to Masai Mara, which is an extensive park that even goes into Tanzania, where my parents live now. Also, if you're just wanting day trips and want to see animals, you can visit the snake park, the Giraffe Feeding Centre, and the Elephant Orphanage. Each gives you a better opportunity to be up close and personal with the animals. When we used to go to the Giraffe Feeding Centre, my friends would put food pellets in their mouths and the giraffes would lick them right off!! Disgusting, but up close and personal!

There is a Nairobi National Park. I have been there but it was so long ago that I do not remember details. We certainly went there and back from our hotel in the city although I have no recollection of how far it was.
