Yellow Lab, is it pure or mixed? Please help. More below...?

What does it mean exactly if labs have "splashes of color"? Does this apply to pure yellow labs? My lab looks American [versus the English lab]. His hind legs are white about 3 inches from the toes up. His front legs are also white, about 12 inches from the toes up. He's yellow everywhere else except the tip of his tail, his chest, a little triangle on his forhead, and just the front of his snout. One last thing...he has pink skin with brown pigmentation (round circles; not any kind of skin disease) around his leg and belly area.

Just from what I have read online, he's mixed. Any thoughts?

Update:

He is about 6-7 months old.

It could be pure, but according to the breed standard, they are supposed to be solid colored, no "splashes of color". "Splashes of color" are recognized as a fault in the coat and most are spayed so that they can't carry on that gene.
