can microsoft detect a hard drive that was used for a modded system?
My Roomate has a modded 360 and I have an un modded one for online play. Though to save money we want to share a hard drive... I just want to know if they could detect something through the hard drive and ban my console even though its not modded.

No, if there is no modification software on the hdd that affects the xbox installation on your xbox (which it ussually doesn't), microsoft won't detect it.

As long as it is formated in FAT or NTFS it will see it without any problems, otherwise it will detect only that you connected a hard drive and thats all.

specific you are able to, its interior the TOS, and specific they are able to tell. Micro$oft says they try this for "high quality insurance" and to evade "gadget failures" and look how nicely it quite is became out, plus you are able to only look at PS3 and spot that changing the complicated drives does not reason gadget failures or decrease high quality. they are quite doing this for the $$$$$$. additionally no i'm not a PS3 fan boy I very own a 360 and that i regarded into this myself.
