Yeah now all it has to do is cover 1/3 of all the oceans. That would be all of the atlantic and indian oceans. That would take another 75 years...

Did you know that oil comes in several different colors? The oil well on my family's place growing up had oil that was almost green in hue. Crude oil does not necessarily look like the quaker state oil in a bottle that has been through a refining process. Vaseline is a petroleum product, it is not black. Nor are most plastics.

Ihave never really seen pictures of it but as u say it could very well be a answer or a warning .. After all mankind insists on eating unclean foods does it not ?? this will indeed put a hinderance on bottom feeders like shrimp lobsters etc that are not fit for humananity to eat.

i would call it more of a coppery rust color. its not blood red, or blood consistancy.
