Do you have so little faith in your god...?

... that you're afraid rigorous study of creation will do anything but prove your god's existence?

I am not in the least bit uncertain of my God and I believe true science will always support the Bible record. There are many deceivers in the world today, and the simple and naive are easily unsettled.

I also believe there are many things men do not yet understand well, like the nature of Time. I think there are many truths brought to light by creation science and to ignore the design and the presence of information, which always suggests a programmer, is completely disingenuous on the part of those who believe in Material evolution. Some of the finest scientific minds of our time would also agree - men who are not afraid to incur the displeasure of some of their godless comrades.

I think of things this way. God is sitting in his infinite realm knowing everything and able to do anything. Basically a very boring existence. So he gets this idea to create a universe. He has basically two options...

Option 1) Create the entire universe as it is today. All the planets in their place, all the animals exactly the way they are. Even people exactly as we are today.

Option 2) Light the fuse on the universe's biggest firecracker and watch as it explodes. Watch as it expands and grows brighter. Watch as sub explosions take place sending new and interesting sparks into the mix. Basically ignite the "big bang" and spend the next few million years watching the universe form exactly as you intend it to be. Like an artist who paints a masterpiece and then travels back in time so he can enjoy the experience of watching himself paint it.

I'm thinking that a being with infinite time on its hands would garner more pleasure from watching the universe form itself out of nothingness into what it is today and even into what it will become in the future even knowing the final outcome. It's the journey that counts more than the destination.

So do I think that it matters whether we look at things through creation or evolution? Nope. In fact I think evolution makes more sense if one expects there to be a God.

It's quite impossible to study creation, unless you're talking about studying the universe, in which case the evidence definitely doesn't point towards the biblical account.

God is just a story created by people of older times to kill their fears of Satan and other things because if they believed that there was a superpower over Satan and other scary things then they will not be scared.

i usually stay as far from the word "god" as possible but ill play along...

my "god" cant be proven empirically... it is self evident upon a certain experience

I don't have a god, so there is nothing to prove.

No. "Creation" implies that god exists. Thanks for playing; back to Polls and Surveys.
